Matt Thiessen

e: matt@kinfolkrealty.com
t: 778.549.8606

Matt Thiessen is blessed! He is the loving and supportive husband to Dawn, a teacher at MEI Secondary School. Together they have five beautiful and busy children, which motivate Matt in work and occupy most of his time in play. As husband and wife, they are involved in; coaching basketball at MEI, at their church Northview, in city committees etc. Those who know Matt know that he is laid back and a straight shooter, yet a hard worker and approachable.

His experience in Real Estate has been growing since 2006 when he began his career as a newlywed with no children. During market fluctuations and additions to their growing family, God has had His hand of blessing on Matt. In 2015 Matt began discussions with former UFV basketball teammate, Mike Lee, to start their own Real Estate group, resulting in Kinfolk Real Estate Group.

If you choose to work with Matt, he will handle your needs professionally, with dedication and with care. You will be welcomed in as a friend and cared for as kin!

Mike Lee

Mike Lee jumped all over a career in real estate after being pestered for years by his friends who were already in the industry. Tired of sitting on the sidelines watching and with the support of his family and friends he made the leap and hasn’t looked back since. Mike prides himself on being a well rounded team player which he gained through National championship experiences on the basketball court at UFV. So it seems like a perfect fit that he teamed up with Matt Thiessen to create Kinfolk Real Estate Group. In his spare time he runs BC Bounce youth basketball club and is a extremely passionate about the local community. If he’s not selling homes, coaching youth on the hardcourt, or tending crops at JJ MILLS farm, you’ll be sure to find at one of the Fraser Valleys locally ran cafes, breweries, or restaurants. Mike truly lives the term "Support local", because after all aren’t we all just one big team.

My whole life, this beautiful Lower Fraser Valley has been my back yard, and I am so blessed to have the privilege to live and work with so many people who share my passion for this part of the world. I have an extensive background in product knowledge and building technology having worked many years pulling cables, framing, and more recently managing projects featuring new home construction. I am always looking for new ways to add value to my clients Real Estate transactions and help them turn a normally difficult and stressful process into an efficient and positive experience.

Norma Zenky and her husband, Norm, raised their four children in the beautiful Fraser Valley.
They were drawn out of the Lower Mainland for housing prices and stayed for the people. Norma has been active as a volunteer with teens and children (large and small youth groups, education, and chaperoning on long trips), and in leadership roles as an executive committee member and organizer of large events. She has volunteered with Parents United Canada, Culture Guard, Theo’s Feast, and Abbotsford Christian Homeschool Association. When not working, Norma attends Northview Central Abbotsford campus and can be found gardening, hiking, biking, or spending time with family and friends.

After focusing on homeschooling and putting family first, Norma decided to pursue something she loves. “My home has been such a focus for me and I feel that everyone deserves a wonderful place to call home. Real Estate is an extension of who I am.” Norma’s goal is to understand her clients’ needs and desires and to navigate negotiations seamlessly and with great care.
